Namibia Red Cross Welcomes New Secreary General
I have the pleasure to announce the appointment of Mrs. Tabita Dorkas Kapembe-Haiduwa as the new Secretary General of the Namibia Red Cross Society. Mrs. Kapembe-Haiduwa’s appointment is effective as of 2 January, 2008. Mrs. Kapembe-Haiduwa graduated from the University of Namibia with a Diploma in Nursing in 1991, She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from 2002- University of Namibia and she is currently doing her Masters in Public Health with the University of South Africa.
Mrs. Kapembe-Haiduwa started her career as a Registered Nurse in Oshakati State Hospital in 1992 and was later transferred to Katutura State Hospital as a Senior Registered Nurse. In 2002 Mrs. Kapembe-Haiduwa was appointed as the VCT Project Coordinator at Social Marketing Association (SMA) and she comes to the Namibia Red Cross Society from a Programme Manager’s position at Social Marketing Association’s Military Action Prevention Program (MAPP).
Mrs. Kapembe-Haiduwa has intensive experience in the management of HIV and AIDS programmes such as those of VCT (ART, PMTCT and Rapid Testing). She has a vast experience in the development of program Management By Objectives (MBOs).
Significantly, Mrs. Kapembe-Haiduwa has initiated and spearheaded the SMA’s organisational change that has led to the reformed Social Marketing Association as we know it today.
Namibia Red Cross Society is thus delightedly pleased to welcome Mrs. T.D. Kapembe – Haiduwa to the Red Cross Family and her arrival is highly embraced.
