Le-Goff, All our distinguished Delegates represented
here today, Secretary-General Ms Dorkas Kapembe-Haiduwa And
staff members of Namibia Red Cross.
I would like to welcome you very warmly to this partnership
meeting. First of all, I would like to thank you for
sacrificing your time to be with us at this important
occasion. I know you are very busy people, you could have
sent an apology, but you chose to come and be here with us,
I sincerely appreciate your coming.
I am particularly delighted to welcome the Director-General
of National Planning Commission, Dr Peter Katjavivi. We are
delighted that Dr Katjavivi could join us- a very special
welcome to you Dr.
I am pleased to acknowledge the presence of Madame Le Goff
representing the zone office. Ladies and gentlemen, I am
equally delighted and privileged to welcome all our
delegates who traveled as far as Sweden, German, Belgium,
Netherlands and Zimbabwe to witness this meeting.
We are gathered here today because of your dedication and
support you have given to Namibia Red Cross over the past
years. We cannot emphasize enough how much the Society
appreciated your support.
Distinguished guests, the Namibia Red Cross is deeply
committed to support efforts of our government in meeting
the needs of vulnerable people in our communities. Today is
an indication how the Society being a humanitarian
organization can forge a strong partnership with the
partners to render humanitarian aid to the vulnerable. As
chairperson of Namibia Red Cross, I feel honored to be
involved with the Red Cross where I have to say they make me
work harder to bring smiles in the faces of the vulnerable
members of our community.
I wish you a comfortable stay in Namibia for you all.
